Job Description
· Troubleshoot aircraft
structural, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems;
· Adjust and repair these systems
in accordance with specifications, technical drawings, manuals and procedures;
· Repair and overhaul aircraft
structural, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems;
· Install or modify aircraft
engines or other aircraft systems, such as mechanical and hydraulic systems,
flight control systems, fuel systems and pneumatic systems;
· Disassemble airframes, engines
or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul, cleaning and reassembly;
· Performs and reports on routine
maintenance;
· Identify and place material
orders in accordance with company policies;
· Order parts and supplies and
maintain inventory;
· Informs Quality Assurance
Supervisor of irregularities on maintenance work tasks;
· Ensure work is performed in
accordance with quality standards, AAR policies and procedures and applicable
regulations;
· Work closely with the Aircraft
Team Leader to ensure that work is completed on schedule;
· Ensure that the aircraft
documentation is complete and in accordance with company and operator
standards;
· Ensure that the work area is
clean and safe at all times;
· Ensure that the 5 "S"
program is followed at all times; Promote the quality management system and
provide suggestions for improvement;
· Adhere to and enforce new
safety policies.
Qualifications
· Technical or college training in aircraft maintenance in mechanical, structural or avionics;
·
Minimum of 3 to 7 years
experience in civil or military aircraft maintenance;
·
Good adaptability,
organizational skills, attention to detail;
·
Must be available to work a
variety of shifts.
